Public Speaking Scoring Your PowerPoint visuals make your presentation more engaging. However, you still play a major role as the speaker. Do not face the screen; face your audience. Do not read your slides, use speaker notes and keep eye contact with your audience. Project your voice based on the size of the room. Don't fidget and stand tall. Don't chew gum. Most of all, practice makes perfect; practice the timing of elements that appear in your show and your verbal monologue/ dialogue. 0= None 1=Somewhat Effective 2=Effective
